HealthSouth Petersburg to Host Southside Health Career Exploring Middle School Camp

HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Petersburg will host the Southside Health Career Exploring Middle School Camp June 20- 24, 2016 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily. This camp will travel to several sites to provide rising 7th, 8th and 9th-grade students real-life experiences in healthcare and higher education around the Tri-Cities.
Activities will include:
- Learning about basic first aid and CPR
- Using a variety of medical equipment
- Experiments and projects
- Learning about colleges and more
“HealthSouth Petersburg is excited to serve as a host site joining other local healthcare industry leaders to give young students a real-world view of various careers in healthcare,” said HealthSouth Petersburg Director of Therapy Operations Kristin Porter. “We are coming together as a community to show our youth the local career opportunities available to them in the healthcare field, whether inpatient rehabilitation or another desired field.”
